Great idea! I hope that boomers everywhere will contribute to this blog.
Come on, boomers...let's hear from you!
I think boomers are the powerhouse of the nation. We need to harness that power and get things back on track. Websites such as this can help if you get it out to the public.
Boomers have the knowledge and experience to help others in their quest to "keep from reinventing the wheel." Much more progress can be made at a faster pace if the younger generations and the boomers communicate effectively.
I agree, boomers are important and drive the USA economy. I am an author and if you would like to hear about my boomer writings please let me know by responding on this blog. I would like to say up front that I am very respectful of blog protocol and await your response. Robert Christanos
Robert, thank you for commenting on our Boomer Blog and being respectful of our blog protocol. Yes, please tell us more about your boomer writings. We are excited to exchange information about our Boomer Generation.
Boomerrific, thank you for allowing me to tell you about my boomer writings. In this modern era, baby boomers are the most influential bloc in recorded history (of any nation). To this end my work is a fictitious commentary on the daily lives of boomers as they confront current events. MostlyFiction's Amazon Bookstore has selected my book, The Outrageous Diary of A Retired Baby Boomer, (In The Sweet Spot), Vol. 1, 2006, as a "best read" for their Reviewers top 2006 books. I'm surprised and flattered by Amazons pick and I hope readers will see in my book what Amazon has seen. Robert Christanos.
I'll check out the book
Is there any estimate on the percentage of the U.S. population that fits into the Boomer window? I would think that it would almost comprise a simple majority. If you figure that there is a 16 year period ('46-'62) when there were larger families than ever before or since and a greater suvival rate of the children than ever before, would it be safe to assume that at least 50% of the population is in the 45-61 age group? They probably have a broader range of ideas as well.
